Hola!

We arrived in Puerto Viejo today. On Saturday we traveled from San Jose to Arenal. We saw some amazing sites! We were going to take the public bus but decided to invest in a private driver name Manuel. He was worth every penny. He was able to translate for us, took us to a great place to eat and stopped at some unique places (see photo album).

We arrived in Arenal on Saturday afternoon and relaxed around the pool and explored the grounds. Beautiful place! www.hotelloslagos.com The website doesn't do it justice. In the evening we had dinner at a great seafood place (Salta Mar) in LaFortuna. After dinner we went for a swim in the hot spring fed pool and the off to bed. We had to get up early for our rainforest zip line tour. This is the highest and longest tour in the country! The kids are adreneline junkies! I'll post those pics tomorrow (hopefully). Mom---don't have a heart attack when you see these. Dianne --- you WOULD definitely have a heart attack! We've thought of you often everytime we crossed a rickety old bridge --- and there are many!

Puerto Viejo is very groovy! Our villa at Kaya's place is very cool! NO TV! Thanks for the tip Rachel and Gary!
