Early start this morning with no breakfast to catch our bus to Koh Chang. The bus seemed ok until more and more people were piled on (with some Cambodian women having to sit on stools in the aisle with luggage packing the rest of the aisle. Then half an hour into the journey the buss pulls over and we hear lots of banging but no information was given. As we all got off the bus, and stood in any shade that could be found watching the world go by, it became clear 3 hours later that we were waiting for a part for the bus. Generally impatient Matt would have been complaining but with no where to be this didn't seem a problem. We sat and enjoyed 3 bottles of water, a box of pringles, 4 packets of waffers and a mango. The woman with the road stall must have thought all her Christmas' had come at once, she even got extra boiled eggs delivered! We didn't fancy them!
After 3 hours we set back off to the border, this way wasn't so bad! We were very happy when we received a 30day visa instead of a 15day one!!
Luckily the next mini bus had waited for our 3 hour delay. We raced through the roads hoping to catch the 6pm ferry at Trat to Koh Chang. There were near misses of cows, dogs and other vehicles but we arrived safely. When we reached the ferry port, we were told that we were too late!! So we had another hour to kill! Finally we grabbed some food which was our first meal of the day!! We chatted away to some Germans and an American and luckily Matt heard them wrong when they spoke about a one armed, one eyed driver - he thought they were on about ours!!
The ferry was strange as it was so dark in the sea. Once off the ferry, we continued on the steep and windy roads. We shall be walking and not driving wherever possible.
Our hostel seems good, we just had the company of Carl the Cockroach (We have never seen one so big and so quick!!)

Sig Just caught up with the blog & photos - it all looks and sounds amazing. I would also like to back the theory of it being a puffer fish - unfortunately (and i'm no expert) I think there's a good chance he's not going to make it. Sorry Sig x
