hi,
we are now on the beautiful island of ko samui. the weather is fantastic, and the sea is like a bath. we were surprised yesterday, when the flight from bangkok only took 45mins, and we got some great views when descending to the island. ko samui airport is something else! there was no problems collecting our luggage, as there was only one conveyor belt. we are staying in a beach bungalow, which is small but lovely inside. as soon as we arrived yesterday, we dumped our bags in the room, and headed straight for the beach. it is meant to be one of the busier beaches on the island, but we found it is really chilled and there is not too many people at all. last night we bumped into jo and lindsay from our tour, so we went for a few drinks on the beach. the bar we were at had huge cushions on the sand, surrounding the tables. there was some great entertainment, with fireworks, monkeys and a huge iguana. today we had the first lie in of the trip, as we needed to catch up with some sleep lost on the sleeper train. spent most of the day at the beach, and went to visit jo and lindsay. we have been keeping an eye out for the dentists, as some of them arrived this afternoon. tomorrow we will have another day lounging around the beach, then we'll catch the ferry over to ko phangan.
