17th March 2014. Clermont, life in the country. QLD.
I have now been in Clermont for 4 weeks, it feel like the time has gone quickly as I have worked almost everyday. There is still not a lot to do and I am looking forward to going to a city soon so I can do some shopping and stock up on things which you can't buy here. The bar is getting busier each week, and this weekend it was particular busy as we all celebrated St paddy day a few days in advance. We decorated the pub and put on Irish music as well as a few festive Hats and drank lots of Guinness, it was a good and busy night, which continued onto the next morning.
This week on my day off Ellen and I went to the cattle sales to have a look around. It is meant to be one of the towns biggest sales, so I was expecting big crowds and thousands of cattle. I should have remember we are in Clermont, so the big crowds amounted to about 30 people and the thousands of cattle was probably hundreds, it was still a good morning out and a great experience. I just had to be carefully I didn't accidentally bid on the cows! After the cattle market we went to the dam, where we sun bathed and read our books a good chilled out day in the sun was just what I needed.
It was great to have some awesome news from ants this week...so proud of you for passing all the exams, well done you deserve it as I know how hard you have been working!
There's not too much to say this week as it's just been about working and sun bathing so il keep you updated next week!
