Our last full day in Surfers Paradise today…so we went to the beach! We had originally planned to go to one of the theme parks today, but decided we didn't want to spend that much ($80 each!). Then we thought we might get the bus to Byron Bay for the day, since we couldn't stay there on our way up the coast (they were fully booked everywhere!)…but then we found out it would cost $46 each for the bus, so that idea was scrapped too! So option 3 was to go to the beach again, which wasn't that much of a hardship really!
For lunch, we went to a café on the seafront and managed to resist the all you can eat all-day breakfast, and opted for something slightly healthier. In the afternoon we headed back to the hostel and did some washing, before packing our rucksacks ready for the morning.

For tea, we walked back to Wok in a Box for some more lovely noodles, washed down with some beers back at the hostel. We got chatting to the English girls, Sam and Lauren, and discovered they're going to Brisbane then Noosa next, the same as us. Tomorrow, we're getting the bus to Brisbane to meet Kelly who's joining us for a few weeks, for a 'backpacking holiday' - should be fun!
