A quiet day in Surfers today. We stayed at the hostel and chilled out by the pool for most of the day - still seems weird for hostels to have pools, as that didn't happen in America, so we're making the most of it! We also tried our best to catch up with a few things online, although the 'free internet' here isn't the best - the signal seems to be strongest in the one area where there's nowhere to sit! Ah well, things could be a lot worse! We could be back at home enjoying the dark, cold, English winter.

In the evening, we managed to get a massive box of noodles from a nearby takeaway for $8 each - bargain! At 10pm, the hostel took everyone who was going out in to town, and at 10:30 everything (lights, internet, music) was turned off and we were left sitting in the dark - seems like they must get well paid by the bars in town to get guests there, so if you stay in it's bed time pretty early! We didn't' really mind as we were pretty tired. So an early night it was…and 2 episodes of The Inbetweeners on the laptop.
