Evening! I haven't written for a while as work has been super busy and I've been feeling very tired after each shift. I don't have anything to update you on really, but thought I'd just quickly post a short blog to let you all know that things are still good here.

Canadians celebrated Victoria day this weekend, and had a long weekend, so pretty much all of the cabins were booked out, which meant a super busy time for us. We worked two hours overtime yesterday and one hour today, and may have more tomorrow depending how fast we can get things done.

I tried my first root beer here from 'A&W' which is famous for it. It really wasn't nice and I won't be ordering one again. It tastes like a mix of menthol and deepheat. How can people drink the stuff? I guess a lot of people must like it, otherwise it wouldn't be such a big part of the menu!

I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment - probably getting overtired with busy days then lack of sleep because the house is always noisy. I started to get a sore throat yesterday, and now it's turned into a cold with blocked nose and ears, so I'm dosing up on ibuprofen and throat sweets and hot blackcurrant tea to try and keep it at bay!

Today dragged a lot with not feeling 100%, but the friendly maintenance guy here brought round an icecream for everyone during our shift which was very kind of him!

Last night we started to watch Machine Gun Peacher, with Gerard Butler in. It was really good and sad - though we had to turn it off as we were falling asleep whilst watching it, so we're off to watch the rest of it now. Incase you don't know, it's about a former-drug dealer who finds God and becomes a reformer for children who have been forced into work in Sudan and Uganda.
