Today was a pretty warm day! It was about 22'c which isn't the best weather for the appearance of mosquitoes! They get pretty bad here, and if they're out already, I dread to think how many there will be in June/July. Really need to invest in some repellent pronto!
Work was slow but more lively than last time. A new girl that's worked here for the past two years came back, who's from near Yorkshire, so we are no longer the only English people! After work we drove to Hinton to get a frappucino as the weather was so hot and grabbed a savoury croissant there. I thought I'd give it a go as I haven't tried their ham or turkey here yet. The turkey was nice, but not keen on the ham and why do they insist on putting mustard on everything? The croissant was smothered in it, blegh.
When we got back we napped! I'm not sure if I have slight heat stroke as I feel very sleepy and my face has been burning a little. Going to avoid the sun as much as I can tomorrow, but as for the heat - not much I can do about that. Our room has a sliding door instead of a window, and it doesn't have a bug screen on it, so can't really open it unless we want to be swamped with mosquitoes, or bears!
The bear, 'Peanut' has been about lately. He was right outside our cabin last night but we missed him. Looking forward to catching a glimpse of him soon! One of our housemates walked outside yesterday and it was right there! It ran away though, (and they ran back inside.)
So, it's 10:15pm now - time to head to bed, ready to prepare for an even hotter day tomorrow. It's going to be 27'C on Monday - not looking forward to that!
