The alarm went off at 4:45am today and off we set at 6:15am to walk 30mins to catch the coach down to Seattle! Our driver was crazy (crazy funny) - he was very chatty and had some funny one liners which made the journey I guess! We arrived at the Peace Arch border where we queued for what seemed like ages to get through. We had our fingerprints taken, passports checked and visas stapled into our passports - then we got back on the coach for the rest of the journey to Seattle. We passed through Blaine, Bellingham, Mt Vernon, Marysville, and so on until we finally arrived in Seattle at 12pm!
It was a beautiful day - very warm towards the afternoon. We visited the Space Needle, where we got the lift to the top and circled around it, taking in the amazing views. We then got the monorail to Pike Place Market, 'The Soul of Seattle'. It was interesting walking through, looking at all the bustling stores and different cuisines and trinkets being sold. We stopped to watch the world famous fish stall throwing fish over the counter to eachother - was fun to watch!
We then strolled through part of the city, looking in some of the shops and bought some fresh hot cinnamon and different flavoured donuts from a popular stall at the market. Seattle is an interesting place - such a diverse mix of people, shops, scenery and aromas of foods! It's relaxing to hear different bands and buskers on each corner playing lively music, setting the scene.
After a short but fun visit, we walked back to the coach stop and tried to fight sleep on the 4 hour journey back to Vancouver.

Laura Yeah they were - jacobs eaten most of them! Yes phine, i'll make sure..we will buy a gas can which is about 12$. The gas fill ups here are different - you have to go inside and pay first then fill up, or swipe your card at the machine and put in as much as you want.. system works better than the UK i think. xx
