Today we got up to attempt a phonecall with our new phone card from the phone box here. It wasn't successful so we drove to Hinton and had a very noisy Skype session with the family. We had to sit in the kids section as the main restaurant was too busy, and a load of children came in to use the play area, so we decided to cut the Skype session short.

We drove back to our house after to grab a few things then headed to Jasper. It was very hot today - beautiful weather which called for an icecream! So I had a creme brulee and Jacob had a mint chocolate chip one, dipped in chocolate with a Reese's pieces waffle cone! Definitely didn't need any lunch after that.

We then did a spot of shopping and posted our postcards/letters to a few people! And I searched for ages to find a decent 'engagement' card for one of my very good friends - finally found one which was decent!

After mooching around the shops and buying a little Canadian moose keyring for our car keys, we drove towards Fairmont. We stopped by at 'Lac Beauvert' which was beautiful. The water was so clear and three different shades of blue/green. A kind English man took our photo for us on the rocks, then we drove back to Poco. On the drive Jacob spotted either a coyote or wolf! It was hard to tell. Unfortunately I didn't see it as I was driving, but hopefully I'll get to see one soon!

A new housemate has joined us today - she's South African and seems friendly. She was a chef at MPL's sister hotel but decided she wanted to do something different so she got moved up here. She's also travelled to New Zealand and used to work in Cheltenham! So it's nice to know someone else that knows of Ross on Wye!
