A better day. The winds were less which made driving much easier. We traveled across Pennsylvania to a campground in Mercer PA. Encountered two of the slowest gas pumps possible and when you’re filling with over 30 gallons, it takes a while. The photo is of us at a rest stop. End to end, we are about 45 feet which was also the length of my last sailboat Dreamquest. In an almost empty parking lot, a guy parked his car less than 5 feet in front of me. Since I can’t back up while towing the car, I asked him nicely to move his car forward for me to get out. This campground is very nice, friendly staff, and Shannon is enjoying some outdoor time. Because there is still a risk of freezing weather (last night was 35 degrees), we have not filled the fresh water tank and are using the bottled water we brought. So late last night, we used the showers here at the campground when no one was there. I real luxury. This campground like the last one was only 1/3 full. Face masks are required everywhere. Covid has indeed changed so many things. But we are camping again and talking to other campers even if it is at more than six feet.
