Today we went into New Orleans to explore. Wayne drove and we left the RVs and dogs at the brewery for the morning. First we tried to get breakfast at a place Wayne and Patti love but it was unexpectedly closed for the day. We walked into the French Quarter to eat beignets and coffee at Café Du Monde and then at a delicious lunch at another favorite called Cochon Butcher. It is getting hotter in the afternoons now, high 70’s. We turned on the generator to run the air conditioner to cool down the RV. The nights cool down naturally. We stored our winter clothes and replaced them with the summer clothes we brought, leaving a few of them out just in case. (Not missing the colder weather New England has been having.)
A note. We’ve been keeping track each time the mileage turns another thousand miles on this trip – 2000 in Connecticut, 3000 in Indiana, and 4000 in Mississippi.
