06/22/21 We took our time leaving this wonderful little park. We filled with almost 36 gallons of fuel in town. We got horrible gas mileage over the last couple of days because of the winds. We drove 202 miles to Hidden River Campground on the Cedar River in Tipton IA (view from our campsite). Even my GPS and two map apps couldn't find it. Dean the owner sent me good directions and was here to greet me. It is family run and has more full time people than over night guests. It rained several times during the evening and night but the site is gravel and level. Shannon was a little more anxious than yesterday but still pretty good in her now usual place in front of the passenger seat.
A note. We’ve continued keeping track each time the mileage turns another thousand miles on this trip – 5000 in Texas, 6000 in Arizona, 7000 in California, 8000 in Oregon, 9000 in Utah, and 10,000 in Nebraska.
