Still at Rain Spirit. We woke up early to take a hike that Patti found. It was a beautiful, easy hike up Fay Canyon and we took the dogs. This picture was at the end of the trail but Patti climbed up a little higher for a better view of the canyon. The path was red dust from the surrounding walls. Shannon brought home a surprising amount of it with her. We then drove through Sedona, a unique town with views to the red bluffs in all directions. Patti and I drove into Cottonwood in the late afternoon for more ice cream. Yep two days in a row. We’re on vacation after all.
The desert wind has become a way of life. Every day it comes up suddenly and blows very hard for a while. The tiny blowing sand gets into everything. Days are hot but the evenings are now cool. But we will all be glad to move away from these winds.
