Got woken up at god knows o'clock to hear all my Dutch roomies sounding extremely pissed off! When I asked what was up, milo replied, I felt something dripping on me and then I realised, Alex, (the extremely drunk teenager) was above, uuuurrrrgggghhhh all of a sudden the top bunk is not so appealing!
The longer I'm here, the more I'm loving Byron bay, it's unique mix of leisure and energy is infectious! It's one of Australia's best beach towns! Low rise, funky, walkable, relaxed are all good descriptions! It's everything that the overdeveloped towns of Queensland are not! Although some of the bars seize up like the arteries of a pie addict.
Byron was a quiet, unassuming little village until 1963, the year that surfers discovered the pass and over the following years, the town became a cauldron of artistically minded people! Surfers and dolphins adore the 7 different beachfronts that surround the point, knowing that at least one will have a break!
Wow I've got it sorted, my new Dutch roomies have just cooked me salmon and rice, no more boring soup for meeeeee ha ha thanks milo :0)
Wow what a night, downstairs in cocomangers, although the lack of aircon and drag queen like individuals made it more curzons than limes, was funny watching milo turn into a sex crazed animal and Alex run off to the teenie boppers disco! Saw Erdal who I spent 15 hours with on an overnight bus to airlie beach, on the way home, so surreal that you meet the same people in different places!
