Getting up at 7 this morning for the bus was a killer after yesterday's drinking games! Very sad to be leaving all my friends in Byron bay!

The drive to spot x took longer than expected due to the flooding and we saw submerged houses! We also drove past a family of kangaroos!

Uncle buck our driver explained the different types of waves to us! A Surging wave is no good for surfing at all, a spilling wave is for beginners and a dumping wave is for the pro surfer dudes!

When we arrived we were pleased to be given a sea view room as mojo is pretty busy! Still had a cold shower though but I'm pretty use to that now! I left my toothbrush and toothpaste in Byron but luckily, my new roomie Sarah, a 'research scientist' from the uk had a spare one! Thomas from Switzerland is trying to force feed me wine but I don't honestly think I could take it after the last two weeks!

Omg the 2 hour surf lesson was absolutely amazing!!! I managed to stand up!!! Me and the german 'pro surfer' instructor spent the majority of time taking the piss out of each others accents! Every time he said 'the wave is strong', it sounded like he was saying wife!!! Yes I agree I look rather gorilla like trying to surf, thank god I look better on a horse ha ha

Thomas has manage to persuade me to have more wine at our lil balcony party, oh deer :0)
