Kumbulgargh fort was one of the most picturesque locations of the trip being surrounded by green hills and mountains with an ingenious architectural design. However the architect after several failures to successfully build the fort believed the only way to keep it standing was to sacrifice himself by cutting off his head.. Then his headless body walked a couple of hundred metres to the top before stopping, as so his shrine was built on that location. Luckily for the next architect it didn't fall down again, don't know how he would've topped that story.
After kumbulgargh fort we visited a Jain temple of Buddhist origin which was also located in the middle of nowhere made only from marble, was by far my favourite temple of the tour with impossible intricate design.
Udaipur, also know as the lake city was my favourite city in Northern India. A design of 5 man made lakes surrounded by a mountainous area was an unmissable location. We took a cooking class and learnt how to make chi tea, lentil curry, spinach curry and samosas.
