Today was our longest driving day. From Kaikoura to Christchurch then through to Hokitika. We are starting the day on the East Coast and finishing the day on the West Coast. You can't come to Kaikoura and not go whale watching, so whale watching is exactly what we did, and what an amazing experience!! Maybe 10 minutes into the boat ride and we got our first sperm whale.
