we walked down to the train station where they have a couple of clothe stores next door. i (krystle) bought a couple of things. we had lunch then walked to the Mirabell garens and waited till it was time for our Salt mine tour. the tour lasted 4hours during the drive to the salt mines we got a full commentary.
we stopped at the bottom of a mountain-at the top was The Eagles nest (hitlers former conference center) there was clouds around the top of the mountain so we couldnt see it.we arrived at the salt mines where we were dressed in overalls. we rode on a kids type train underground. we got to slide down a very steep miners slide. the tour took us through tunnels and we would stop along the way to learn about the active mine that wa below us. we sailed on a boat across an underground salt lake. we then slide down another slide and trained out of the mine. we drove back to Salzburg making a short coffee stop (for krystle ice cream stop) at Berchtesgaden.
we had tea at the hostel- pizza again as the chef was still on holiday so it was the only meal they could do
