we walked down to the train station where they have a couple of clothe stores next door. i (krystle) bought a couple of things. we had lunch then walked to the Mirabell garens and waited till it was time for our Salt mine tour. the tour lasted 4hours during the drive to the salt mines we got a full commentary. we stopped at the bottom of a mountain-at the top was The Eagles nest (hitlers former conference center) there was clouds around the top of the mountain ...

we walked to Mirabell gardens which was laid out in 18th century by a Prince Archbishop for his mistriss, the gardens also featured in The sound of music where they sang Do Re Mi. We then walked up steep hill to a fortress. inside the castle was a war musuem which i didnt find that interesting. we looked through a small puppet musuem with the ugliest puppets we had ever seen. we did a tour where you listen to an audio guide- so everyone looked strange walking a...

We got up early and caught the train to Werfen which was a 50minute train ride. Once we arrived in Werfen we caught a shuttle bus up to the ticket desk of the ice caves. The scenery was beautiful as it was very mountainous. Once we arrived at the ticket desk we were pretty pleased with ourselves as we had saved 10€ by researching how to get the train and shuttle rather than using a tour company. The bus for Salzburg left at 8am and we arrived at lunchtime. We walked around looking for some lunch before a storm came. So we didnt see much but the area around Salzburg looks very pretty. We spent the late afternoon planning our day trip to the ice caves as the organised tours were really expensive.

Today we took the train out to Danube. we didnt really know what to expect. when we got there we discovered there was a huge ferris wheel and behind it was a fun park. We spent ages watching everyone on the rides as there was some pretty crazy ones. After lunch where we had a huge cordon bleu we wandered around the gardens.
