At 5am we started to sail but we didnt have to get up until 6am. we then drove to Kom ombo and looked around the temple ruins. we then continued towards Luxor stoppin g at Edfu temple the most preserved temple. there was even some colour left in the carvings. On our way to Luxor we passed many villages and even the houses that were like mud houses had sattilite dishes. we got stuck in a massive traffic jam as the Presidents wife was in town, so heaps of the roads...

Today we relaxed all day. The wind got abit too strong so we stopped abit earlier. as we walked up and around the bank we found some locals riding around on their donkeys they spoke a small about of english. at night we had a bonfire.

Our wake up call was at 245am for a 3.15am departure. We joint the convoy which departs at 4am for Abu Simbel. All the tour buses / vans travel together and are escorted for security and becaue its three hours of driving in the desert.I slept the whole way making it a quick journey. My sleep wasnt too bad considering. we were on aeroplane like seats but they reclined quite far.
