Oh my god I did the LONGEST walk ever today!! I walked to the seal colony on Kaikoura Peninsula, which took a good hour just to get there from the hostel. It was totally amazing seeing the seals so close up, still get surprised at how big they r! And yes Ryan u can laugh at me but i still get a shock! :P Its so weird travelling by urself cause u totally hav to ask randoms to take a photo of u so that all ur photos r not just of scenery and things with no people in them! U'll soon b thinking am not acutally over here and am just downloading photos from the internet lol!

So after seeing the seals I did the cliff top walk which took me forever but it did hav fantastic views. The New Zealand coast line is just gorgous, took so many photos even tho they dont do it justice! At one point u can even climb down the cliff on steps they hav put up. It lets u get really close to the seals again and the bird nesting areas, but i didnt find these that interesting as they just look like sea gulls to me!

So after u walk round most people get picked up in the car park at the end by buses or such like but I decided I would do the walk back towards Kaikoura, which went through forests and to be honest was a little bit creepy cause there was noone else about :S would probably have enjoyed the walk so much more had i been with someone else! Never mind tho I got through it safe and sound and was thoroughly exhausted by the time i got home about 4 and a half hours after i had left!

Oh and that was when i had my lovelyiest surprise of day, i walked into my room and there was a couple in there who were clearly just finished having sex! Not cool in a dorm room and she even said hi to me, i just grabbed my stuff and went for a shower so they could reorganise themselves!

Anyway had some free vegetable soup for my dinner that nite, dont worry mum it had nothing on urs! While in the kitchen I was chatting to the 2 German girls who are in my room and r lovely and an English girl Becky (yes another 1!) and an Irish guy Kenneth. Turns out we r all on the same bus together and me and Kenneth will prob be travelling the next few days together which is nice to hav some company.
