So left my wee Sarah back in Christchurch and headed off on my MagicBus adventure! My first stop is Kaikora. Its a wee sea side town and the biggest attraction is swimming with the dolphins! So that is what I did! Must admit it has to be one of the best experiences of my life even tho i got more sea sick than u can imagine and i dont normally get sea sick!! They did warn us that is was likely to be quite rough today and said we're prbably as well to take sea sickness tablets even if we dont normally get sick, so glad i did cause i felt so sick! When we were tryin to find the dolphins i just focused on the horrizon cause someone said it was a good thing to combat the sickness, so i wasnt too bad. Then after we came back on board after swimming with the dolphins i felt so sick it was unbelievable! Couldnt even manage to put clothes back on and had to sit out the back of the boat lol!

Anyway enough of the sickness, it was totally amazing! We were swimming with Dusky Dolphins and it was incredible! They were totally wild and yet still wanted to come and check us out! We had to get dolled up in some very sexy wetsuits, these ones were even worse than the surfing ones, we had a jacket and everythin! Didnt think it was gonna fasten over me boobs but i managed to squeeze them in and was glad of it cause it kept me nice and warm, well as warm as i could be in 12 degree water. We had snorkles and flippers as well to help us. U hav to "act" like a dolphin to get them to come round which makes u look like a bit of a t*** but never mind! It was incredible as they came so close to u, i could just hav reached out and touches them but as they r wild we r not allowed to! If u swim round in circles the dolphins totally follow u as if they r trying to race u!

There were some jellyfish in the water which is a bit scary after the pycho ones in Oz but apparently these ones were harmless! The only other thing that was a bit pants was i couldnt take any photos cause i felt so sea sick, was well gutted but nothing i could do about it :( i also think i may hav had slight frost bite in me fingers when i got home, couldnt feel them, but i had a hot shower and burnt them back into life lol!

I'm staying in the Adelphi Lodge and its so quirky! In a weird way its kind of like a large version of what u would expect a b&b owned by a wee old couple to look like! There are random cartoons all over the place and even more random things hanging off walls and roofs!! They also have the largest video collection I've ever seen, and yes that is videos and not dvds, brilliant!!
