Arrived in Auckland just after midday today. I had not heard very good reviews about Auckland and I must admit it was just as bad as i had been led to imagine! However the rain did manage to stop after we got settled into our hostel, so we went for a walk around the city. I saw the Sky Tower which to be honest just looks like a concrete pillar with some shiney tiles at the top, not very impressive!! Also walked down to the harbour in hope of seeing the Auckland harbour bridge. However if anyone is planning on doing this i would definately not recommend it, it just looks like a regular bridge and definately has nothing on the Sydney harbour bridge! Had a wander round a few more places including Victoria Park and the market there. Must admit all in all I'm very dissapointed in Auckland, it seems pretty rubbish for a city!

I am staying in the Nomads Fussion hostel tonight in a room with 8 other girls and I got it for $2 cheaper than it should hav been which is good!
