The day began with a beautiful breakfast. We then headed in for a ferry ride up the Themes. The guide was quite funny and made the trip quite enjoyable. We jumped off at the London Tower, walked around the outside and headed for tower bridge. At one point Andrew asked if I had an invisibility coat on as people kept walking into me. I was doing my best to avoid them. The tower bridge museum was really interesting. We even saw the engine room and how it worked to lift the bridge. The souvenir shop was quite reasonable so we bought some more gifts. We wondered along the river bank and then headed for the underground. On the way we stopped for some lunch (hamburger, chips and salad).
As it was getting late we decided to head to Piccadilly Circus to pick up our theatre tickets (yay). We planned to walk up to Lancaster Square to get the underground but we were met with barricades and girl screams. Yesterday when we passed though there was a large line of girls queueing to get a small sticker with a number printed on it. We now know why. 1 direction were going to be appearing and all the tween girls were going a little nuts. It was hard to stop and work out which way to go as the path wasn't wide and there were lots of people. By the time we could stop our sense of direction was all warped. There were 2 bobbies and I wanted to ask directions but Andrew was sure he knew which way (it wasn't so much that I doubted his ability to navigate, I wanted to be able to say I got directions from the London police). Sure enough we found our way.
After a brief peruse of the map it was decided that we would postpone one of the things until tomorrow when we would have more time so instead we headed out to Handel's house museum. It was simple but did I still enjoyed it. Pretty cool to think I've stood in his rehearsal room and where he composed some amazing pieces.
We are home now, briefly. Having showers and making ourselves look pretty. We are headed to Wicked at the Apollo Theatre.
