Well I am now finally in Cairns, after starting the East Coast 8 months ago I have reached the top!

I ended up staying in Magnetic Island for 5 weeks. I was going to stay for longer and get paid work but they messed me around a bit so I decided to move one. I ended up getting some work doing cleaning and working in the kitchen which was fun. The girls in my room were really nice and we all got on really well. On my last night on the island we started drinking at 4pm we'd done a quiz on Thursday night and won a $60 bar tab so we all had 2 shots of pure jager which was disgusting, then Carina got us pure vodka shots then we all just bought a round of shots each, i think i only had 2 normal drinks and loads of shots all night! The girls got me a card and I managed to get a spank paddle from behind the bar and got all the boys to sign that, i lasted til 2am!! On my last morning we all had breakfast together, i was really sad to leave but glad to be moving on and meeting up with Jen again.

I got the ferry over to Townsville with Wendy the lady that works in the kitchen and she dropped me at the hostel, we picked Jen up then Wendy took us shopping, which was really nice of her, we then watched her play beach volley ball in the evening, it made a change to just sitting in the hostel. On Tuesday we met Janelle (the kitchen manager from base) for lunch and in the evening we went out and the first pub we went in we saw Robbie Fowler!! he was sat at the bar with two guys so we sat there too, there was a pub quiz on so we helped them out and just got chatting to them one of the guys was his brother and the other just a friend. Robbie is a really nice guy and we all had a good chat. We bumped in to them again later on in the evening and i had a picture taken with Robbie he was really nice about it and said if it doesnt look nice can we delete it! We ended up getting home at 4.30 and had to check out at 10.30, jen was very hungover!!

we left for Mission Beach and we had only planned on going there for the buffet that i went to on my birthday, but when we got there we decided that we were gonna go white water rafting, we were both really scared, but it was so good, not scary at all!! neither of us fell out either and we kinda wish we had done the extreme but we might do it again in NZ. We went for the buffet in the evening and eat far too much. Our Raft instructor came and met us for a drink and we went to coconuts in north mission which was good.

We left for Cairns on Friday and I wasnt feeling very well, had a bit of a cold so we just went out for dinner we get a free meal every night at a place called the Woolshed. Then on Saturday we went exploring and have booked Cape Trib for tomorrow, you get to go jungle surfing! which will be cool. We went out last night and had a really good night. Having an easy night tonight as up early for cape trib in the morning.

We have both decided after meeting some nice Kiwi men that they are def the way forward!! he he
