Wow I haven't written on here for ages! I've done loads since Brisbane!
I have been to Mooloolaba, Noosa, Rainbow Beach, Hervey Bay, Fraser Island, Bundaberg, 1770, Krommbit and now I am in Airlie Beach!
I stayed in Mooloolaba for 3 days, it wasn't that great there! not really much to do. Then we stayed in Noosa for 2 nights wish we had stayed for longer because it was really nice. We only stayed at Rainbow beach for 1 night as there is nothing to do there apart from go to Fraser Island but we went to Fraser from Hervey Bay.
Fraser Island was AMAZING!! The best thing ever! I did it with Kelly, Paula, Rachel, Gemma, Lisa, Sophie and 4 guys we didn't no. Lisa and Sophie weren't doing it with us and then they surprised us at Noosa and said they had booked on to do Fraser with us! I was well happy cos I really get on with Lisa. We had to be up at 6 in the morning and we had to decide what food we wanted for the 3 days and what drink we wanted. Some of the girls went shopping to get it while the rest of us went to the 4x4 hire place, me and Rachel had to pack the 4x4 up and I had to climb on top of it to check we had enough equipment with us. I did a bit of driving, I was really nervous but did really well. When one of the guys drove none of us felt comfortable and told him to slow down but he just laughed and at one point he nearly toppled the 4x4 over so we shouted at him to stop but he didn't he finally stopped so we all jumped out, not surprisingly he didn't drive again! We stayed at a place called Base Camp and had to put our own tents up, the guys we were with cooked our dinner for us we had a BBQ is was really nice. The next day we were up at 6 again. We did lots of walking, on the first day we went to Lake Wabby which is mean't to be cursed! We still went in though, The walk to it was really nice it was just like being in a dessert! On the last day we went to Lake McKenzie which was out of this world! White sand beaches and clear blue water!! it was pure spring water. We also went to Lake Birrabean, when we got there, there was no one there so we got some really nice pictures then loads of people turned up so we were lucky!
A row broke out on the 2nd day of Fraser Island but it all got sorted and was just a missunderstanding really!
Once we got back from Fraser we went our for a Chinese, it was a great way to end the weekend!
We then headed to Bundaberg for some fruit picking work, we couldn't find any work in Brisbane that's why we left there and I'd found out we coudl get some work in Bundaberg but it turned out there was nothing available! so we left the next day and went to 1770 which was really nice, I went on a Scooteroo and fell off and really hurt my arm! I just couldn't grasp the concept of how it worked! I still got to go on the 3 hour ride, I just went on the back of the guides bike which was good had a really nice view then we watched the sunset. I couldn't move my arm very well so Kelly had to wash my hair for me that night!
The next day we left for the Cattle Station! It was so good, I got to Muster goats on horseback and then we did goat herding! we had to get in to teams of 3 and one person had to chase the goat the other tip it over and the other pretend to brand it, me, Kelly and Paula did it and we came 3rd! We were well proud of ourselves! In the evening there was a fancy dress so we dressed up as hola girls and the guy that owned the cattle station was called alan so we wrote his name on our chests in facepaint and he gave us a bottle of wine for it as he said no one had done it before!! We had such an amazing time there!
I am now in Airlie Beach where I should be doing the Whitsundays on Sunday but there is a storm coming so it doesn't look like we are going to be able to do it which is gutting! Me and Kelly have hopefully got jobs lined up from next wednesday so if we don't get to do the Whitsundays we will go straight there and have to come back down at a later date for the Whitsundays.
