Well guess what my plans changed AGAIN!! I have now finally left Ayr! Woo hoo!! I am now living in paradise, I am in Magnetic Island. I had the day off on Friday and was really bored and decided it was time for me to sort myself out. it was my last day on my farm on Saturday as I had been there for 6 months so i asked shelley to put me on another farm but she wasnt being honest with me saying what farm I was going on so I decided its time to leave! I looked through my Lonely Planet guide and rang a few hostels in Magnetic Island which is about an hour away from Ay and a hostel called base needed staff so I said excellent I'll be there on Monday so when Jen got back from work on Friday I told her I was leaving and she was reallly sad but knew i'd wanted to leave for a while and were still gonna travel together.

So saturday was my last day on the farm, I was actually really happy to be leaving not really sad at all, at the end of the day we had drinks and nibbles which was nice. In the evening a few of us when for a chinese then went to Queens in the evening, had a really nice last night and will kinda miss the place but not for long! he he

I spent most of sunday stressing out and packing, finally got everything in then on monday morning when i was just putting the last of my stuff in my backpack i bust the zip!! whoops I can still use it though as it has a double zip but need to get it fixed really!

Anyway I left for the bus at 12.30 on Monday and was pretty sad to be leaving, I got to Magnetic Island around 4.30ish and went to base and got a job woofing, basically I work for 4 hours a day and get free accomodation and one free meal a night which is really good. I'm in a 6 bed dorm but there is only 4 of us in there, i have a bottom bunk which is good. The girls in my room are really nice, there's Olivia from New Zealand, Sarah from Canada and Corina from Germany. Sarah and another girl Jen thought my name was Percy at first! ha ha I love the Language barrier!!

i started my first day on Tuesday, I just had to hire out the Kayaks from 10-2 it was pretty boring and not much to do but at least i'm in a nice place. I've been doing that for the last 5 days and have the next 2 off. After work I just lay by the pool or on the beach, I go for a walk most days. I eat with the girls at night so i'm not on my own at all really!

Jen is meeting up with me in a few weeks then will carry on from there!! x
