well coffs harbour. we turned up around 3 o'clock in the afternoon and got a bus to our hostel, barracuda. we chose this one as we got a free night there. we were lucky as we stayed in a 6 bed drom but had it all to ourselves, also we got the room for cheaper as we got confused with the prices...nice. the 1st night we were there we went down to the local pub with about 5 of the other hostel people. the pub was nice and we played ina poll competition while we were there. well i did ok at it but the aussies play different rules, they dont play 2 shots on a foul....b*****s. so i lost in the 2nd round. hannah on the other hand was on fire and did well, but not good enough. it was a $100 prize so would have been nice. well we lost and both played the losers comp(which i won) and got $20 for my efforts. the night was very good and we were talking to all the locals and various builders and drunks from round the area. they were all really nice and after a few beers later we went back home using a shopping trolley as transport!!! was very funny, but have a grazed elbow to show for it. other then that night there was nothing much to do in coffs harbour. there was 1 place called the big banana which is like a small family place. we went there and were very disappointed(as everybody is) it had a tabogan run, sweet making area..................and thats about it. so that killed a few hours and then we just walked round the town. they did have a nice beach there but wasnt the best we have seen. so that was bascially our 3 days in coffs harbour, nice place but not much to do!!! oh well on to port macquarie.................
