We boarded the Louis Olympia about 10am and were underway at 11am. We have quite a nice cabin on Level 6 with a window facing forward. First up was safety drill where we all had to assemble at out lifeboat stations wearing life jackets. After that we were free to explore the ship and have some lunch. By 6:30 we had arrived at Mykonos and disembarked for a look over the town. We were excited to meet up with many of our friends from the bus tour who had taken an alternative Island Hopper option after the bus tour. Some of them are now my Facebook friends...Rhonda, Trent, Katrina, Alex and Kate...and I'm looking forward to hearing more of their adventures.
We saw the famous windmill houses and the area called Little Venice before exploring some of the narrow alleyways. Sunset occurred on our way back to the ship. We had a fairly late dinner before heading up to the sky bar for a drink. Later, from the promenade deck, we watched the process of unhitching and getting underway before retiring for our first night at sea.
