Since we hired the car, we've been to Glenorchy to do some horse riding around classic Lord of the Rings scenery. We then headed north for a few days to see Wanaka (where there was an amazing cinema with sofas and even a Morris Minor you could sit in), the Southern Alps and the Franz Josef Glacier. Have a look at the photos, the glacier was huge. We got back into Queenstown this morning and have been Canyoning today. Walked up through waterfalls and rapids and then zip-wired/abseiled/swam and jumped our way back down the ridiculously fast-flowing river. It was such good fun, the highlight was being launched over a 10 metre waterfall feet-first. Awesome.

So that's New Zealand done, getting ourselves ready for South America. Fly to Chile tomorrow afternoon and arrive 3 hours before we take off. We're both a bit scared/excited as we have no idea what to expect from the next couple of months. We don't even know where we're going yet, should be fun.
