Hi,
Landed in Queenstown about a week ago now. Spent the first couple of days exploring the town. They have a marked out frisbee golf course which is pretty cool. There's also a luge track up one of the surrounding mountains that you can go down in a kind of go-kart. The next day we jumped out of a plane from 12,000 feet. Did a 7000 ft freefall over 45 seconds and then both of our parachutes opened which was nice. It was absolutely incredible and we have some amazing photos and video.
We left Queenstown for Te Anau and went to some underground caves which had waterfalls and glowworms living inside. The glowworms looked like little stars, pretty amazing. We then did a 3 day tramp along the Kepler Track - one of New Zealand's Great Walks. We had to carry all our kit on our back, bit like D of E, which made it tough in places. Went up a mountain the first day and along a ridge the second. The views of the national park were unbelievable.
Yesterday we let our legs recover by taking a cruise on Milford Sound, which had massive jagged mountains coming right out of the water. Epic.
We're back in Queenstown now and have a car hired for the next few days so we're off exploring.
