We then went round to the Peru side of the lake to visit the "floating islands" made of reeds that the fishing families live on. Hi, The Salt Flats trip from Chile to Bolivia was incredible. We saw crazy coloured lagoons with hundreds of flamingos, smoking volcanos, weird rock formations and miles and miles of white nothing. On the last day we drove straight accross the salt, it was like being at sea. There was nothing apart from tiny islands on the horizon. Hola, We arrived in South America safely, although it just feels like Spain at the moment. Santiago is very European but I guess it´ll feel a little more Latin American once we leave the city.
