After the slightly strange but lovely Christmas and Boxing days in the sun we set off on our 3 day hike along the coast of the Abel Tasman National Park. Since we hired the car, we've been to Glenorchy to do some horse riding around classic Lord of the Rings scenery. We then headed north for a few days to see Wanaka (where there was an amazing cinema with sofas and even a Morris Minor you could sit in), the Southern Alps and the Franz Josef Glacier. Hi,Landed in Queenstown about a week ago now. Spent the first couple of days exploring the town. They have a marked out frisbee golf course which is pretty cool. There's also a luge track up one of the surrounding mountains that you can go down in a kind of go-kart. The next day we jumped out of a plane from 12,000 feet. Did a 7000 ft freefall over 45 seconds and then both of our parachutes opened which was nice. It was absolutely incredible and we have some ...
