Hola,

We arrived in South America safely, although it just feels like Spain at the moment. Santiago is very European but I guess it´ll feel a little more Latin American once we leave the city. We spent the first day getting over some extreme jet lag then spent a couple of days exploring the city. Took a funicular railway up a big hill to get an incredible view of the city, it´s SO big. We then took a vintage, rickety cable car back down which was quite an experience. Saw a free concert in the main square last night to celebrate something or other. It was a pretty big event with Placido Domingo and some other woman opera singer. We´ve also seen some Buena Vista Social Club stylee jazz in the apparently legendary "Club De Jazz".

That´s about it so far, we´re heading north from here gradually. Hasta Luego,
