Before leaving to go to Brisbane we took a walk up Cape Byron, the walk was really steep but well worth the view from the top by the lighthouse- we had wicked views of the bay and the beach and as it was whale season we were lucky enough to see them in the distance. After leaving surf camp we began on our way to Byron Bay. Finally left Sydney and hopefully the rain...It was still pouring down when we left but thankfully we were picked up outside the hostel by our new Oz driver Steady. Arrived in Sydney around 4.30pm and checked into Base Backpackers, which has a wicked location right in the centre of the city.
