We made our way today to the Australian capital Canberra. Not much of a capital city to be honest, it was a place that was completely designed to be a capital city when they couldn't decide between making it Sydney or Melbourne. Canberra definately has a reputation with a lot of Australians of being pretty dull & it was quite easy to see why, there was not much to do there apart from go and see the Parliament building & to drive up ANZAC road to see the war memorials.

We left Canberra after lunch to make our way to Sydney, arguably Australia's deserving capital. On route we stopped at Lake George which is now just a vast amount of cattle grazing space due to the massive drought they are having in Australia...although its suprising with the amount of rain we have seen since arriving!

imagine if politicians had a city to themselves, we this was it and it had about as much charm as tony after one term too many!!

leaving there swiftly  we were on our way to sydney!!! whoooo!!
