We were all a bit tired but checked out of the hotel who I might add had the best staff ever and headed to Graceland. It was worth it. Well organised and the iPads we were given had great info. My favourite rooms were the pool room and the jungle room. We also had a look in Elvis' plane the Lisa Marie. Gold plated seat belts! None of us are really crazy into Elvis but we all really enjoyed the tour. We made the decision to go to the National Civil Rights Museum, after a few wrong turns we did eventually arrive and it was well worth it. Could have spent 1/2 the day there it was very emotional, informative and interesting. The museum is at the motel where Martin Luther King was assassinated. Then we headed off to Nashville just over 3 hr drive. The drive is so scary Danos and Gerry were driving and reaching speeds of 88 mph or 140 Kph. There are so many trucks on the road and when they want to change lanes the indicator is red like a break light and they just move over and you need to find somewhere to go. It was so scary for drivers and passengers alike. We were very glad to arrive in Nashville. Headed in to Broadway and all the Honky Tonk Bars. Went to Acme Feed and Seed there were good bands and then a comedian Ron White who was outrageous and hilarious. He said he is playing at Madison Square Garden in a couple of weeks. Home and a Baileys nightcap at the bar. Bed by 11.
