Karli and Nessy's Adventures
By popular demand, we have photos! hehe!
Right, so we have been in Kuala Lumpur for a few days, got lost in the endless shopping malls, have been up the Petronas Towers, we had to get up at 8.30 to do this :o( and you can only go up to the bridge on the 42 floor (there are 88 floors) but its was fun all the same, and have also been to the China Town night market, and to Titiwangasa Park.
Yesterday (Ness was ill again, I think shes making a bit of a habit of it :oP (shes OK now though)) we hung out in a cafe whilst it chucked it down with rain. Then, in the evening we went for a meal in a pretty swanky Tapas restaurant, I know you are thinking "Tapas! whilst in Malaysia!", but Noodles for breakfast, lunch and tea for nearly 2 months (yes we have really nearly been away for this long!) does get rather monotonous, anyway I have digressed, so we went to this swanky restaurant, where the toilets had a water wheel which a lady span so u could wash your hands, not that you want to know about the toilets (Actually Meme will!) but just trying to prove how posh we are.
Went to the Batu Caves today, 272 steps to the top, big gold statue, monkeys and Hindu statues all over the place, oh and all this is in a cave, its very self explanatory, was nice going to see it but as usual there were tourist shops inside the caves, and Japanese tourists feeding the monkeys cans of coke (to any one who is planning on visiting Asia, feeding, playing with or throwing things at the monkeys is not advised for obvious reasons) so it takes away the "Wow" factor a bit.
This evening we had dinner in the Menara KL (KL Tower) we went over sunset, (very romantic :oP) so we saw the city in the daytime as well as the night which was fantastic, food was yummy although the most expensive meal we've had yet!
Heading off to Butterworth to get a Ferry across to Penang tomorrow morning which should be fun,
Speak soon, Mwah Karli, Ness, Becky and Dan (again)
