Karli and Nessy's Adventures
We went to Melaka for a few days, which is the cultural central of Malaysia. we went to the Sultanate Palace (which is made entirely without any nails) and the Museum of National independence we did lots of walking around, Little India and China Town and we went on a Rickshaw which was covered in flowers, it was fun and i think the aim is to draw attention to yourself as much as possible with load music and beeping at everyone even if they aren't in the way.
We had some really good meals here, first was banana leaf curry where the only thing you got to choose was the meat u wanted, but it was so yummy, and we had to eat it with our hands, I found this difficult because I'm left handed and its rude to eat with your left hand... ( Ness says I have the hand of the devil. shes really mean though)
We also went to a Satay place where you cook your own satay, it was sooo popular with the locals and so much fun, Ness adores peanuts (shes been buying peanut butter and eating it straight from the tub) and so she thought a meal of peanut sauce was heaven.
After all the eating fun in Melaka we then headed to Kuala Lumpur, not Umpa Lumpa or Koala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, we got a hostel which is decorated with magazine cuttings which is amusing and then headed off for the National Art Museum, we got the LRT, the monorail and then a taxi to find that it was closed! so we headed on to the park, and lazed around for the rest of the day.
We then got a taxi back and because we had dragged ourselves to the other side of Kuala Lumpur we got a nice scenic tour of the city!
Tomorrow we will get up and do some proper sight seeing around Kuala Lumpur, but today was a lazy day.
Just thought we'd keep you up to date,
Mwah Karli, Ness and Becky
