First of all a post script for my Penang entry: We got out of the taxi miles away from where we wanted to be, in the pouring rain, within 5 seconds we all looked like drowned rats and were still looking for somewhere to eat, to make light of the situation Dan started singing "singing in the rain" in the rain, he swung round a lamppost, thwacked on the floor, chin first, his glasses flew off and he slide backwards across the pavement and collapsed in giggles (and also in pain) Ness, Becky and I looked at each other and then all laughed at his pain and suffering. To all that care, Dan is alive and well and has no lasting damage. We are in Langkawi, white sand beaches, palm trees lining the beach and clear blue sea, idyllic if i don't say so myself. so really there isn't much to report on here because we have just been lying on the beach, although i can tell you all about the beach experiences! Whilst swimming in the sea with Becky I put my head underwater and was floating about, Becky thought that after a minute or so i might be drowning, so when i came up and Becky was looking at me like i had 2 heads, i asked her what was up and she exclaimed " i thought your hair had got stuck underwater" ..... bless her, i didn't ask why she didn't rescue me if that's what she thought, so maybe her and I have to discuss where our friendship lies these days. Also here in Langkawi one of the locals said that Ness is a Princess because of her pale skin, so Ness was very happy about this and now expects Becky and I to call her princess Ness... shes got to be joking :oP We head to Thailand tomorrow on the Ferry so that's going to be a whole new adventure.
