Had a lovely Father's Day chatting to Dads and family at home and visiting the local fair. We were very late from battling to find the supermarket but got a delicious plate of choc brownies for 50p as they were packing up! Great playground there and kids had fun running through the fields and Zoe even collected Adam a bunch of wild flowers.
Its been a frantic week trying to get sim cards, look for a car, stock up on groceries and buy the 6 pages (!!) of required items for starting school. Have needed to find everything from mouth guards, hockey sticks, astroturf shoes and "wellies" to recorders, blazers, stationary and bags. Feeling very, very poor! Consoling ourselves that a lot is navy so will hopefully still be of use back at Stirling East next year (may need a jumbo jet to get it all back!).
So impressed with the customer service here. Everyone very friendly. They chat and chat and chat with no regard to the long queue of people waiting. The checkout operator at Sainsbury's chatted for so long that I had to ask if I was supposed to do something before she started scanning! Its very funny (until you're the one at the end of the queue!).
Kids are super excited. Zoe so excited about her mouth guard that she wore it all afternoon and in the morning- came downstairs in her pjs wearing it ..... and of course her eyemask on her forehead (still a big hit Auntie!)! Zac's big favourite are his Minions wellingtons. They got paraded around all of Bury!
Now for hemming and labelling!
