I saw a f***ing turtle!!!!!!!.............
We have just returned from our castaway experience. Whats that? It's when you are dropped on an abandoned beach and left over night with a bunch of strangers. We were with 3 British girls and 1 Israeli guy. You fly there in a 4 seated plane so the pilot has to do a few journeys but the flights are worth the money themselves. On my flight out Pete was in the front and Dan and I were at the back. It was great. The pilot did a couple of little tricks and then told Pete to hold the steering wheel and he flew the plane. Was insane and I was so jealous when we landed.
Anyway we met the rest of our group and headed off on a big group walk. We went to the end of the beach, over some rock pools, and up a hill. Then we turned around and headed back. Steve and Dan went for a swim before walking back and Dan came running over to me and said they had found a turtle. My thoughts were "is this a wind up?" and "I have to go back in case he is telling the truth". So we headed back and when I got there Steve and Gal (the Israeli guy) were holding a big sea turtle. I HAVE FINALLY SEEN A TURTLE!!!!!!!! I held it and got a picture with it (facebook profile picture). After the turtles first modelling session getting photos with everyone we released him back in to the sea.
We headed back to camp and the guys had a 3 v 3 football match. We lost 5-0. The rest of the evening was beer, goon, and dinner around the fire before crashing out back in our tent. In the morning we just chilled on the beach. The other 3 went sea kayaking for a bit too. About 10/11 the pilot picked us up and this time I got to steer the plane. So much fun. Also, he did this zero gravity trick which made Pete's camera float mid air.
We are now heading back down to Rainbow Beach for a night before heading to Brisbane
