I'm just a teenage dirt bag baby like you.......
Travelling back from Port Douglas at the moment to meet up with Pete and spend one more night in Cairns. We have had quite an eventful 24 hours. We arrived to the turning outside Port Douglas at about half 6 in the evening to find the turning is closed because of an accident. Two minivans were on their sides and it didn't look pretty. Police, ambulance, and emergency helicopter all at the scene. After about an hour and a half we were allowed through and headed to our campsite. We decided that because we were camping we should get steaks for the BBQ and we managed to get three 450g steaks for $5 each. After steak it was drinking games and some goon before heading to a karaoke bar where Dan got up and sang Teenage Dirtbag. Other than that it was a pretty standard night. I slept in the car whilst Dan and Steve shared a tent. First campsite experience was a success although it did take about half an hour to figure out how to put the tent up.
This morning we got up and decided to earn some good karma. We took a homeless dog called Willow for a walk. We have no idea what type of dog she is so we decided she was a dingo. Pretty sure that's wrong but oh well. After our good deed of the day we headed to a watering hole and walked round taking in the views for the afternoon. After a nice relaxing day in Port Douglas we are now off to meet Pete in Cairns.
Hope all is well
