Luke and I spent a day working out where we wanted to go after Bulawayo when the Germans asked us if we wanted to save some more money and go with them to Matobo national park. They had found a tour guide who would be willing to take 7/8 people in a minivan for a cheap price. We'd heard about this national park. After experiencing the falls from both sides and thinking that we've spent enough money there, we went to book our train tickets to Bulawayo that evening. We then wandered around the town a bit, looking at all the amazing carvings and statues made there. Sadly most of them were a bit too big and heavy for us to carry around in our backpacks! We left the backpackers that evening and found out that a belgian couple was doing the same thing as us so we got talking...

We were meant to be leaving this day to go to Bulawayo on the overnight train, but as we were walking around the town relaxing after the rafting, we decided to stay for another 2 nights as we loved it here so so much. We first thought about going over to Livingstone on the Zambian side but we found out that it was 11 km and we didn't want to have to pay for transport as well as the visa. From there we decided to just go to Zambia for a day and see what the falls ...

Today we decided to do bungee jumping!! We got up late after going out last night with a few people we had just met. It was good that we did as it was beautiful in the afternoon! The shuttle left at 2 from outside the companies office and it took us right to the doorstep. The bungee jump is 111m from the bridge boardering Zimbabwe and Zambia. There is an amazing view of the falls from it and a magnificent gorge running underneath, with the zambezi running through...

We just about managed to get the bus to vic falls from Harare after getting dropped off by one taxi driver at the wrong place! The coach had to be whistled down for us. When we were about half way there, there was a machanical fault with the bus so we got out, stretched our legs and waited for about half an hour for the other coach to come along. The next coach was very comfortable! The seats were a lot bigger so it was a lot easier for luke and me to sleep on it...
