Day 3 - Lost city=Amazing!!!

Our campsite was about a kilometre away from the lost city, but like 300 m up a whole lot of sketchy stairs..... We spent about three hours exploring the lost city and it was absolutely amazing to see the hard work and manpower it would've taken to build this place! I can't wait for Machu Picchu!!! We spent some time getting some quality photos and action shots! I had read in my Travel Guide to bring up a small bottle of liquor to share with your new friends as you conquered the top of the lost city, so as we pulled out the bottle the armed guards who were very cool told us that in the eight months he had been there he had never seen anybody doing shots! Haha
Ruth took us down to a nice waterfall and swimming hole where it was tradition to bathe yourselves before you entered the lost city and it was gorgeous! We had talk to the other groups who did the tour that day and no one else was taken to the special spot!
After we made our way down we had lunch where we spent the night before and then hiked back to the camp that we bypassed to spend the night, obviously swimming and good food was on the menu.
