Arrived in our hotel in Hanoi - Vietnam. Such a nice hotel, only cost £5 a night, got well looked after, not used to being catered for. Went for a bike ride around (Tay Ho West Lake) which was 15km, actually felt like a did a decent work out! Hanoi is a mad city, almost on par with mad Delhi, the traffic and people have no concept of traffic rules, everyone just goes where they want. Not great when biking back from the lake after sunset at rush hour in the dark, thought i was going to die! Been on a 3 day boat trip around Halong Bay, the views are picturesque, thousands of islands scattered around. Decided to do the party boat, had seafood for lunch and dinner, and went caving and kayaking.
Arrived on Freedom Island, spending the day and night here! Just 20 us on the island, two beaches, hammocks, canoes, volleyball. Really nice, but not sunny so been a bit cold. Jumped off a cliff 14m, was pretty high, so high Kyle was s***ting himself, resulting to him landing in the water funny and chipped his tooth!! (See photos), what a clown. Our tour guide on our boat who is from Vietnam, learnt his English through watching English TV shows like, The Inbetweeners, Black Adder and Skins! His accent was on point, sounded so weird.
