Flight from Puerto Princesa to Manila, then to Jakarta in Indonesia, then from there to Malang. All in all it took 20 hours...i love traveling...NOT! Kyle sat in my seat on our flight from Manila to Jakarta, unlucky for him, as this annoying and way too talkative American old man sat next to him. Indonesia is very similar to Malaysia, they have the same language, same food specialities and they all look the same.
First day in Malang, it absolutely poured it down. Only in Malang so we can commute to another town the next day to do, Mount Bromo. I made a silly mistake by leaving my trainers in Philippines, now i have nothing to do the trek. No threat, i found some trainers in Malang ctiy. Nikes for £11, not bad at all! Malang city has been very difficult when it comes to communication, as they know no English. However the food here is so good, 50p for a rice or noodle dish, perfect! Got a train down to a city called Probolinggo, it only took 2 hours on the train and cost £6. I wish the trains in the UK were that cheap. The view from the train was strange, as locals literally lived on the tracks. They had small concrete houses but they sat outside their houses and just watched the trains go by, which were only a few feet away. Sorting out Mount Bromo was a headache as nobody knows an easy route to do it. I trimmed my sideburns with Kyle electric trimmer and cut it way too short. Looks like i got alopecia.
