Day 22 22/9/2018

First full day in Dubrovnik.

We woke this morning know we had limited time left on the boat, breaky at seven off the boat by 10 . Our transfer car was right on time and we were at the apartment 20 minutes later, this apartment has heaps of steps to get to it but the reward is worth every step you have to take. Breath taking is the first thought that enters my head , spacious living area, the girl has hit the jackpot with this one.

We settle in, a few picture of the view , then our first shopping expedition ,5minute down the run , we buy enough food items we hope to get us through the next 3days , breaky and lunch. Every thing stops at 12, footy is on and I’ve worked out how to hear the game but I can’t see it , it was great , better team won.

But just like home there are some chores that never go away and washing clothes is one. 7 to 10 days since I last wash my clothes and very short on undies and shirts , they’re now in the washing machine ,Shirley is snoozing all is good .

3.30 Beach time we have the directions we off down the stairs, more stair, down the street, more stairs about 300 and we reach the beach. Their pebble beaches leave a lot to be desired but the positive was the water was cool but great for swimming on this hot day . We gather our things and we realise that the stair were all down hill ,now we had to climb them ,hard very hard .

When we were sailing in we noticed two bars on the outside of the wall, so our adventure was to track them down , we trying to get to them on sunset, missed by that much ,as the term goes. Amazing places, good service, and at the time we got there like a revolving door, people in ,people out. A place I had never see before.

We have a drink and move on to the next part of the tour guide’s plan, Dinner. This is to be a Japanese Restaurant called. “Bota Sare”. A restaurant that serves 34 people at one sitting, and when we arrived someone had not attended so we were given until 9 pm to finish . This was a great choice , I’m not a great sushi fan, but this is the restaurant that has changed my impression for every. The flavours had those old taste buds dancing as they tried capture them all , it not over packed with rice leaving room for the flavours of the three type of fish in one and it’s finish a crunchy fried outer layer, it was that so good we went for seconds, we also had oysters 3 natural, 3 fried and tempura battered, we have photos so look at them an imagine how wildly our taste buds were dancing.

Two glasses of wine that matched this food and also the tradition made this dinner one that will remain with us .

So full on good food , and with a 15minute walk home we decide to head for home but the old town of Dubrovnik has other ideas . It shows us it night life, kids break dancing , are they fit and strong, not far from them a Jazz band banging out tunes , and then who should walk around the corner but two couple we thought we had said goodbye to this morning, what are the chances of that. We tell each other of the days adventures then head for home. All the walking and stair climbing has lift your bloggers very tired and we are ready to crash so again we will wish you all the best , remember we are just a texted message, or messenger call away.
