A few firsts today. Arrived in abreojos from the north on a very rough road today. If it wasn't under construction it was washboarded or underwater. Somewhere along this road I acquired my first flat...which I discovered around the same time I discovered the Pemex station in abreojos is never open, I believe I can still make it to st ignacio, but I will check the prices of fuel at the fishing coop too. . I may have overestimated the ruggedness of my street tires...

Made it to Baja asuncion after a long 400 mile burn from cuatro casas. Staying at campo Serena which is owned and operated by a Canadian woman who moved here to study grey whales, and her husband juan who is a local fisherman. Surf is supposed to be up around here to tomorrow, so I'm planning to poke around between here and abreojos for a few days. Made it to cuatro casas. Surf has been too good to leave. Planning to go to Baja asuncion tomorrow. Should be wifi, and the surf the south in abreojos is supposed to be quite good. Today I used my first Mexican ATM and Internet cafe. Actually pretty normal, just located in the damnedest places.
